Obituary of Eleanor Doreen Hopey

The death of Eleanor Doreen Hopey, wife of George Hopey Sr. of Saint John, NB, occurred on February 5, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John a daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Randles) Milne. Survived by four sons: George Jr. of Gardners Creek, NB, Gary (Linda) of Saint John, Glenn (Colleen) of Upper Loch Lomond, NB and Gerald of Willow Grove, NB; two daughters: Sharon (Chris) Billings of Ottawa, ON and Gail (James) Thornton of Garnett Settlement, NB; two brothers: Arthur (Shirley) Milne of Upper Golden Grove, NB and William (Marion) Milne of Golden Grove, NB; two sisters: Hazel (Royden) Henwood of BC and Marjorie (Arthur) Cougle of Woodstock, NB; special friend, Hazel Shanks; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by four brothers, Harold, Roy, Donald and Kenneth Milne and an infant sister, Marion Milne. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. There will be no visitation. Following cremation a Memorial Service will be held at Brenan's Chapel on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 2:15 pm. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
