Obituary of Annie Bridget McQuade

McQuade, Annie Bridget (Shepherd) The death of Annie McQuade (1913-2006) occurred on February 15, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Johnville, Carleton Co. NB, daughter of the late Elias and Bridget (Feeney) Shepherd. Annie was predeceased by her infant son, husband Arthur Lewis, daughter Juanita McAuliffe, David McAuliffe, and grandsons Robert David and Michael McAuliffe, as well as by five brothers and five sisters. Annie was the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by daughters Patricia (Louis) David, Lorraine (Paul) Corcoran, Barbara (Ted) Thibault, and sons Gerald, Roland (Esther), Arthur and Rev. Jim, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Annie was a member of the CWL for 56 years, and of the Ladies Auxiliary of 6595, Knights of Columbus. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18, 2006, at 10:00 am, from St. Joachim's Church. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Juanita McAuliffe Scholarship Fund for Post Graduate Nurses, Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
