Obituary of Erma May (Ryan) O'Brien
The death of Erma May (Banks) (Ryan) O'Brien of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Ervin O'Brien and the late Fred Ryan, occurred on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at her late residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Blissville, NB a daughter of the late Harry and Lena (Charlton) Banks. Survived by daughters, Gloria (Val) Redner of Kenora, ON and Colleen (Gordie) Morrison of Saint John; sons, Keith (Linda) Ryan of Quispamsis, NB, Terry (Mona) Ryan and Tony (Cathy) Shaw, both of Saint John; step-sons, Mike (Madeline) Clarke and Chris (Theresa) Clarke, both of Toronto, ON; sister, Pauline Alderman of Saint John; special friend, Pierre Paradis; nine grandchildren, Kevin (Melissa), Bradley (Tasha), Dwight, Melissa, Mark, Michelle, Jacqueline, Nicholle, and Julia; three great-grandchildren, Turner, Sally and Madalyn; special sisters-in-law, many special friends, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and husbands, infant son, Mark; brother, William Banks; sisters, Dorothy Hayes and Joan Dobson and step-son, Tim Clarke. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 12 noon with interment following in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
