Obituary of Leila L. Williams
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Leila L. Williams, wife of the late Charles M. Williams, on February 28, 2006,in her 95th year. Born at Black River, she was the daughter of the late William and Amy (Loughery) Yorke. She was a school teacher having retired from King Edward School. She was a long time member of Black River United Church and the Church of St. Andrew & St. David. She was a Life Member of St. Andrew's Circle King's Daughters and with her husband shared a deep love of music. She is survived by daughter Dale and her husband David Peters of Manotick, ON, granddaughter Amber, sister Agnes 'Pat' Franklin of Tynemouth Creek, sisters-in-law Mabel Roxborough of Sussex, Patricia Howes of Rothesay and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2006, at 1:00 pm, from Brenans Chapel. Following cremation interment will take place at the Black River United Church Cemetery in the late spring. Remembrances made to the Black River United Church or the Church of St. Andrew & St. David would be appreciated.
