Obituary of Edna Gertrude Miller
Miller, Edna Gertrude ? the death of Edna Miller, wife of the late George Miller, of the Loch Lomond Villa occurred on February 28, 2006 at her residence. She was born on December 28, 1908 in Apple River, NS to the late John and Ada (Bradley) Orr. Edna worked at the Admiral Beatty Hotel as a Banquet Hostess for many years until her retirement. Survived by two sons: David (Marilyn) Miller of Oromocto, NB and John (Diana) Miller of Saint John, NB; four grandchildren: Joanna (Daniel) McIntyre of Moose Jaw, SA, Angela (Daniel Henwood) Miller of Saint John, NB, Kristy Miller of Calgary, AB and Wendy of Oromocto, NB; three great grandchildren: Christina Miller, Riley Henwood and Julieanna McIntyre; two step great grandchildren Megan and Ashley Henwood; three sisters: Vera Slocum of Toronto, ON, Hilda Cameron of Tatamagouche, NS and Kay Colpitts of Nova Scotia; one brother: Harry Orr of Halifax, NS. Besides her husband and parents, Edna was predeceased three brothers: Clifford, Wesley and George Orr and one sister Greta Rector. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634?7424) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be at Brenan's Chapel on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 2:15 pm. Internment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery following the funeral. Memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.brenansfh.com
