Obituary of Gena Elizabeth Daley

The death of Gena Elizabeth Daley, age 80, of 110 Latimore Lake Road, Saint John, wife of the late Harold J. Daley, occurred on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Cambridge Narrows, NB, she was the daughter of the late Chester H. and Mabel (Straight) Black. Mrs. Daley was employed as a Consulting Engineer with Burroughs Business for many years, before her retirement. She is survived by two sons, Harold “Hal” C. Daley (Donna) of Ontario and Mark A. Daley (Krista) of Saint John, one sister, Margaret Durst of Saint John, five grandchildren, Shauna (Rob), Lynn, Scott, Meaghan and Danielle, two great grandchildren, Owen and Luke, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Elizabeth C. Daley, two brothers, Allan and Walter Black and two sisters, Marjorie Janes and Dorothy Black. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to Silver Falls United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
