Obituary of Clarence F. Dickson
The death of Clarence F. Dickson of Quispamsis, NB, husband of the late Dorothy (Small) Dickson, occurred on Monday, March 6, 2006 at his residence. Born in Hampton, NB, a son of the late Charles and Bethia Dickson. Clarence worked for McAvity's as a Journeyman Machinist for many years until his retirement. He was a past Director of the New Brunswick Deaf Cultural Society, and past President of the Saint John Deaf Association. Clarence was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church where he was very involved with the Deaf Ministry. Survived by three sons: Donald (Doris) of Perth-Andover, NB, Robert (Carol) of Ottawa ON, and Bernard (Joyce) of Dartmouth, NS; three daughters: Bernice (Richard) Wilson of Gondola Point, NB, Barbara Dickson of Ottawa and Dorothy (Douglas) Brown of Pickering ON; eleven grandchildren: Wayland (Dawn), Aaron (Wendy), Nora, Steven, Jillian, Rick (Lee-Ann), Brad (Sue), Andy (Tricia), Becky (Paul), Megan and Josh; ten great- grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Clarence was predeceased by ten brothers and sisters, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday from 7 ? 9 pm and Wednesday from 2 ? 4 and 7 ? 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Forest Hills Baptist Church, McAllister Drive, Saint John on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Luke's Cemetery, Gondola Point at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Saint John Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services or to a charity of the donor's choice.
