Obituary of Raymond Lewis Walsh
The death of Raymond L. Walsh, husband of the late Jean Isabel (Parks) Walsh, occurred on March 10, 2006 at his residence. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late James Henry and Hannah (Greer) Walsh. He was a veteran of WW II. He was a custodian-engineer with School Board District 20 having worked at St. Vincent's High School and Hazen White St. Francis Schools before his retirement in 1983. He enjoyed his time woodworking. He is survived by his sons George (Catherine), Lewis (Sharon), James (Sheila), David, Mark (Lorraine), his daughters Jean Watson, Carol MacKay, Love McGinn, Dawn Leoni, his 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his wife his daughter Iris, brothers Charles, Gordon and James, and sisters Anna Sutherland, Dorothy O'Leary, Phyllis Dionne, and Kathleen Crawford predeceased him. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at 11:00 am, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Barnsville 7th Day Adventist Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
