Obituary of Margaret E. Boyle
Margaret Ellen Boyle (Laird) of Saint John, formerly of New Jerusalem, Queens County; widow of the late Percy Boyle, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends, on March 22, 2006. She was born in Burray, Orkney Islands, Scotland, daughter of the late Margaret (Thomson) and Donald Laird. She is survived by her daughter, Judy, constant companions, Shelties Molly & Kayla, special friend and honorary daughter Delores Voutour, two sisters, Betty Oliver, Saint John, Mary (Dwaine) Spicer, Springfield, five brothers, George (Mary), Bobby (Ariel) and James (Ruby) all of Hampton, Windsor (Margaret) Edmonton, Alta and Alistair (Betty) of Fenelon Falls, Ontario, Aunt Jessie Sinclair, Orkney Islands, sister-in-law, Jean Muir, Ontario, many nieces and nephews, also numerous cousins in Scotland. She was pre-deceased by sister Loretta (Jack) Shannon, Campbellford, Ontario and two brothers Donald (Mary) of Hampton and Balfour (Doreen) of Tottenham, Ontario. She was at her happiest surrounded by family and her dearest friends. She was an avid bowler, loved to fish, enjoyed quilting, and playing Bingo, and was a favorite Auntie to her many nieces and nephews. She took great pride in fundraising for the annual event for the Cardiac Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, March 23rd, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 24th, at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
