Obituary of DAVID J.T. WRIGHT
The sudden death of David James Thomas Wright, of 28 Deerwood Place, Saint John, occurred on Saturday, March 25, 2006, surrounded by his family, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on June 10, 1941, he was the son of the late Harold and Gertrude (McCullum) Wright. David was employed in the Car Industry working at Noble's in Moncton and Downey's in Saint John for many years. He loved animals, especially dogs and enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing cards and winning money from his sisters playing poker. David loved the water and treasured his time spent at Maces Bay. He is survived by two sisters, Jacqueline Remete (Frank) and Heather Bennett (Gary), both of Saint John, nephew, Todd Remete, nieces, Kim Remete and Lauren Bennett, great nephew, Nicholas Remete, special friend, Marshall Arseneau, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved playmate, Marshmallow. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Following cremation, interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the Saint John Animal Rescue League would be appreciated. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr.'s Marie Laryea and Erin Brien as well as Nurses, Lynda Gordon, Ann Day, Kim Leek and Cheryl Boak for their care and compassion while David was in the Hospital and to Dr. Sean Keyes Sr. for his care to David over the years.
