Obituary of Rena Barnes

The death of Rena Barnes of the Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John, wife of the late Arthur Barnes, occurred on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at her residence. Born in Dumfries, York Co., New Brunswick on September 20, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Moses P. and Almeda (Parent) Hughes. She is survived by one son, Tyler Barnes of Kamloops, BC, sisters-in-law, Vera Hughes of Saint John, Ruth Hughes of Moncton and Mary Hughes of Godfrey, ON, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Austin, Kenneth, Ernie and Gordon Hughes and one sister, Dora Baxter. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Interment in the Coles Island Baptist Church Cemetery.
