Obituary of Thomas Anthony Morris
The death of Thomas Anthony Morris, formerly of Davenport Avenue, Saint John, husband of the late Louise A. (Nason) Morris, occurred on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Ridgewood Veteran's Wing. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Hugh Charles and Bertha Morris. Mr. Morris was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Canadian Army. He was a Nursing Orderly at the old DVA Hospital for 27 years before his retirement and had previously sold real estate from 1968-1978. He was a member of the Carleton York Regiment Group Association and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Joseph. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church, Clarendon Street, Saint John, on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute to a Veteran service on Friday evening at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
