Obituary of Arthur W. Atcheson
ATCHESON, ARTHUR W.- The death of Arthur "Art" William Atcheson, of 1771 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Jacquard) Jackson, occurred unexpectedly on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Arthur Atcheson and the late Florence (Elliott) (Atcheson) Abric. Art was the owner and operator of Art's Appliances for over 30 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Gary Atcheson (Jackie), Karen Foley (Nick), Debbie King, John King (Andrea), Charlene King, Danny King (Kennette), Tanya Murphy (Ken) and David Jackson (Sandra), three brothers, Ralph Abric (Catherine), Gary Abric (Scarlet) and Randy Abric (Cathy), four sisters, Gail Chatterton (Phil), Nancy Meger (Ed), Florence White and Valerie Grant (Brian), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sons, Jimmy King, Arthur, Mark and Bobby Atcheson and three sisters, Joan Lavine, Marjorie Atcheson and Lorraine Haig. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 12:00 Noon. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
