Obituary of Albert William Ellingwood
The death of Albert William Ellingwood of 46 Somerset Street, Saint John, husband of Loreen (Bradley) Ellingwood, occurred on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of Margaret Elizabeth (Clifford) Ellingwood of Saint John and the late Ernest Merrill Ellingwood. Albert was formerly employed with CPR and for the last 33 years was employed as a Quartermaster with (Marine Atlantic) Bay Ferries. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Derek (Kim) of Quispamsis and Bradley of Calgary, AB, one brother, Ernest (Catherine) of Lorneville, two sisters, Marilyn Davies of Saint John and Catherine Roussell of Barrie, ON, three grandchildren, Celina, Nicholas and Justin, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Barbara Veniot. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 2:30 PM. Following cremation, interment will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the Animal Rescue League or the Cornerstone Baptist Church would be appreciated.
