Obituary of Helen Patricia Francis

Francis, Helen Patricia (Day) - surrounded by her family, Helen passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2006. She was the wife of the late Raymond C. Francis. Born on August 16th, 1912 in Jerusalem, NB to the late H. Allen and Estella (Beckett) Day. Helen worked tirelessly raising her sons, all the while working on the farm. She was a member of the Brown's Flat United Baptist Church since 1935 and was treasurer for 28 years. Helen loved and was loved by her family and church family. She is survived by son R. Lloyd (Sharon) Francis of Public Landing, NB; two sisters: Muriel (Dick) Matthews of Red Head, NB and Marion Thompson of Campbellton, NB; daughter in-law Daphne Francis of Brown's Flat, NB three grandsons, one granddaughter, two great grandsons, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents Helen was predeceased by two sons Blair and Lester Francis, four brothers: Perley, George, Grenville and Chester Day and one sister Florence Denneny. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Helen's life will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, May 5th, 2006 at 2:15 pm. After the funeral, internment will be held in Brown's Flat United Baptist Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
