Obituary of Hazel Elsbeth Coyle
The death of Hazel Elsbeth Coyle of the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Nursing Home, Saint John, wife of the late Leo James Coyle, occurred on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at her residence. Born in Saint John on March 7, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie (Jackson) Monteith. Hazel was a Dietician at the Saint John General Hospital for many years before her retirement. She is survived by her children, Lorraine Morrisey (Daniel) of Ottawa, ON, Cynthia McLean (Edward) of Rothesay, Michael Coyle of Saint John and Nancy Craig of Saint John, one brother Phillip Monteith (Phyllis) of Hampton, two sisters, Margaret Webb and Jean Carpenter, grandchildren, Kim, Glen, Scott, Sean, Adam, Erin, Sally, Jordan and Matthew, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, James, four brothers, John, Joseph, Bob and Jim and three sisters, Ella, Nan and Audrey. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday morning, May 12, 2006 from 10-11 AM, followed by a graveside service at St. Joseph's Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Silver Falls United Church Hall. Remembrances to the Alzheimer's Society or the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
