Obituary of DANIEL A. LOSIER
It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of Daniel Arthur Losier of Public Landing, loving husband and best friend of Kimberley (Haslett) Losier, on Thursday, May 11, 2006, surrounded by his loving family at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on March 20, 1948, he was the son of Arthur J. and Catherine "Kay" (McGraw) Losier of Grand Bay-Westfield. Dan was an Industrial Mechanic at Irving Pulp and Paper for 34 years before his retirement in 2003. Dan and Kim spent many summers sailing on the Saint John River aboard the Danaka J. Dan was a past Commodore and long standing member of the Martinon Yacht Club. He loved time spent outdoors, hockey and was an avid Montreal Canadians fan, but mostly loved spending time with his wife and children. Besides his wife and parents he is survived by two sons, David (Karen) of Quispamsis and Danny (Krista) of Martinon, two step-sons, Lindsay Wilson of Saint John and Jeffrey Wilson at home, one brother, Douglas (Grace) of Grand Bay-Westfield, two sisters, Linda McAdam (Rod) of Hardings Point and Brenda Murphy (Dick) of Saint John, five grandchildren, Dawson, Maranda, Brody, Parker and Carter, mother and father-in-law, Ken and Trudy Haslett of Saint John, mother-in-law, Marlene Haslett of Moncton, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew's Church, Grand Bay-Westfield on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Following cremation, a private family interment will be held at St. Augustine's Cemetery. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Cystic Fibrosis or the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
