Obituary of Ena L. Smith
Smith, Ena L. Formerly of the River Road, Fairvale, NB passed away on May 12, 2006 at the Loch Lomond Villa at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Benjamin P. Smith, daughter of the late Joseph P. and Rosamond (Hancock) Monaghan. Predeceased by brother Alfred and sister-in-law Irene and sister Dorothy. Dearly loved aunt of Janet Scrim and Sandra Monaghan of Ottawa and Paula Monaghan of Toronto. Heartfelt thanks to the Loch Lomond Villa caregivers and the many good friends of Ena for all your help and friendship over the years. Ena was born in Halifax, NS and is a survivor of the Halifax Explosion. She moved to NB in 1924. She was a longstanding member of St. David's United Church, Rothesay, was past president of the UCW, Fairvale Red Cross, and past president of the Women's Liberal Association, Kings County and was an accomplished gardener having won many awards for her arrangements. The funeral service will be held from St. David's United Church, Rothesay, on Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery followed by a reception and time of remembrance at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425). Memorials made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
