Obituary of Helen Agnes Howard
HOWARD, HELEN A.- The death of Helen Agnes Howard, formerly of 24 Bayview Drive, Saint John, occurred on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at the Carleton-Kirk Lodge, Saint John. Born in Saint John on December 28, 1903, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Murphy) Howard. Helen was a Registered Nurse for several years and was a member of St. Peter's Church, the CWL and the Legion of Mary. She is survived by "her children", nieces Mary Lou Rogers (Gerry) whom she raised from the age of two, of Saint John and Mary Large of Charlottetown, PEI and nephew, Tom Howard (Marcie) of Kitchener-Waterloo, ON and was known as "Nan" to great nieces and nephews, Gerry Rogers (Sandee) of Halifax, NS, Connie O'Brien (David), Richard Rogers (Christine), Louise Kinney (Brent), Tim Rogers and Lisa Rogers, all of Saint John, Amelia and Kate Howard and Carol, Angela and Andrew Large as well as great-great nieces and nephews, Patrick, Laura and Julia O'Brien, Katelyn and Sarah Kinney and Madalyn Rogers. She was predeceased by three brothers, Rev. Lucian, David and Joseph Howard. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church, Clarendon Street, Saint John, on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
