Obituary of WILFRED J. VAUTOUR
The death of Wilfred Joseph Vautour, of 69 McLeod Road, Saint John, husband of the late Anne (Gallant) Vautour, occurred on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Beaverbrook, NB, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Madeline (Robichaud) Vautour. Mr. Vautour was a Labourer with Ocean Steel for 26 years before his retirement. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was an avid sports fan, always watching hockey and baseball games on the TV. He is survived by four sons, Lionel (BJ) of Saint John, Kevin (Kathy) of Edmonton, AB, Darrell (Sandra) and Brian (Jeannette), both of Saint John, one daughter, Paula Baker (Steven) of Clearwater, FL, one brother, Alyre Vautour (Pearl) of Cornell, BC, one sister, Gladys Sweet of Toronto, ON, 10 grandchildren, Jason, Brooke, Beau, Trina, Erin, Lindsay, Kevin, Ashley, Bradley and Jeffrey, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Wilfred, four brothers, Raymond, Louis, Arthur and Eldric and one sister, Eileen Bonnell. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Stella Maris Church on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute to a Veteran service on Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
