Obituary of William J. Bawn
Bawn, William (Bill) J. - The death of William (Bill) James Bawn, of Mispec, husband of the late Shirley (Thomas) Bawn, occurred on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was a son of the late Earle and Marjorie (MacDonald) Bawn. Bill was employed with Bourques Welding until his retirement in 1984 and was formerly employed with Saint John Shipbuilding and Marquis Construction and a lifetime member of Local #213. He played on the Mispec All-stars Baseball Team. He is survived by three sons: William (Karen Crozier) of Saint John; Michael (Cathy) of Mispec; Earle (Sherry) of Windsor, ON; one daughter, Marjorie (Albert) Seely of Mispec; six grandchildren, Andrew (his special pal), Shirley, Misty (Bill Somers) Ryan, all of Saint John, Tammy Young (Doug), Will (Nicole), of Windsor, ON, two great-granddaughters Savana and Dakohta, also best friend Agnes Dobbson, and several brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews. His grandson Steven predeceased him. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday and Sunday2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in McKee Cemetery, Mispec, NB. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
