Obituary of Donald William Record
The death of Donald William Record, beloved husband of Margaret Rose (Sullivan) Record, occurred peacefully after a courageous battle, on July 15, 2006, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, on November 8, 1936, he was the son of Beatrice (Downey) Record and the late Ranford Record. He was an accountant with Central Equipment Ltd. for many years and had also worked with Kelly Tire and the Journey’s End before his retirement. He was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Parish. He will be fondly remembered as the man his dog Candy took for walks. He had a special relationship, which was mutual, with his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews cherishing their friendship and company. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his brother Joseph Record of Prince George, BC, sisters Joan Worden of Grand Bay, Gloria Moore and her husband Frank of Saint John, aunts Grace Dryden, Connie DeMatteo, Hortense Hanley, brother-in-law John Sullivan of Saint John, sisters-in-law Ann Vautour and her husband John of Aylmer, PQ, Kathryn Clark of Riverview, NB, Doreen Mulholland of Saint John, and his cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday. July 19, 2006, at 12:00 NOON, from Holy Trinity Church. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances made to a charity of the donor’s would be appreciated.
