Obituary of Johann Fres

Surround by his loving family the death of John Fres husband of the late Paula (Partyka) Fres of Ellerdale Street (formerly of Bradley Lake) occurred on July 16, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on May 31, 1917 in Romania. John was a master mason at Strescon until his retirement in 1982. He was an avid bowler, and spent a lot of time at the Dolan Road Irving Restaurant and Tim Horton’s in Quispamsis. John is survived by his loving sons John of Saint John, NB and Peter (Sandi) of Quispamsis, NB, and two granddaughters Jessica and Sarah Fres. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by one daughter Christina Fres. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 19, 2006, from St. Ann’s Parish at 10 am. Internment to take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery following the funeral mass. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
