Obituary of Donald J. Gautreau

The death of Donald Joseph Gautreau of Saint John, NB, occurred on July 30, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of Albertine (Gagnon) and the late Leopold Gautreau. Donnie was employed at Cendant. He was a member of the UNBSJ Alumnae and volunteered at the Food Bank at UNBSJ. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing with the bands: Port City Five and Vintage Wine. Besides his mother, Donnie is survived by his sister, Linda (Leo Paul) Frigault of Saint John and his brother, Allan Gautreau of Saint John, his nephews: Joseph Frigault, Gregory, Kyle and Corey Hayes, also by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (506-634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday from 7 – 9 pm and Wednesday from 2- 4 and 7 – 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
