Obituary of Jean Spencer Flewelling

The death of Jean Flewelling, of East Saint John, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 4, 2006. Born on October 7, 1919 in Saint John, NB, daughter of the late Justus Sherwood and Eva (Vaughan) Flewelling. Jean was a seamstress for Eastern Furriers for many years until her retirement. She was a life long resident of the city. Survived by several nephews, nieces and friends. Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by four sisters: Blanche Eva and Harriet Beatrice Flewelling, Georgina Louise Culley and Elsie Maplebeck. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 1 pm. Interment in St. Stephen Rural Cemetery following the service. Rememberances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
