Obituary of Mary Charlotte Parlee
The death of Mary Charlotte Parlee of 14 King Square South, Saint John, NB, wife of the late John Edward Parlee, occurred unexpectedly on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. Stephen, NB chosen daughter of the late Gladys and Harry Leaman. Mary was a life long resident of Saint John. She was a kind and gentle soul, and all who knew her were better for it. A loving mother and grandmother with a strong personal faith, Mary’s passion for reading and learning were inspiring to her family. A talented writer of poetry, her creativity and caring will be dearly missed. Survived by a son, Randall J. Parlee; a daughter-in-law, Monica; grandson, Jarod R. Parlee; granddaughter, Shannon K. Parlee; daughter-in-law, Dianne Parlee; grandson, Thomas E. Parlee. All of Quispamsis. Sister, Theresa R. McCormick, Oromocto, NB; half-sister, Margaret Wheten, Antigonish, NS; half-brother, J. Kent Wheten ‘Evelyn’ of Oshawa, ON; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband; a son, Gary Edward Parlee; a brother, Willard Wheaton; half-sister, Mary Ackerman. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 1pm. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor’s choice.
