Obituary of Nora R. Hargreaves

The death of Nora R. Hargreaves of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Sydney Hargreaves, occurred on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home. Born in Fairville, NB a daughter of the late Dr. Arthur Westrup and Ruth (Self) Westrup. She was a life-long resident of Saint John. Nora was a Volunteer Worker for Civil Defence during the Second World War and later worked as a receptionist for Drs. Bona and Ramsay until her retirement. She was a charter member of the Dr. W.F. Roberts Chapter of the IODE. Survived by her sister-in-law, Dorothy Combley of Sackville, NB; a nephew, Paul Hargreaves of Sheldon’s Point, Ontario; three nieces: Carol Swedersky of Sackville, NB, Joan Randall of Petitcodiac, NB and Sue Hargreaves of Saint John. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. By request there will be no visiting at the Funeral Home. Following cremation, interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
