Obituary of FRANCES MARGARET DAVIES

DAVIES (STEWART), FRANCES (FRAN) MARGARET … 91, died peacefully at home on Saturday, August 19, 2006. Wife of the late Jack Davies and daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Agusta (Law) Stewart, Fran was born in Saint John on March 19, 1915. She was a graduate of Saint John High School, Class of ’32 and Mount Allison University, Class of ’37. Fran was an active member of Westfield United Church and a life long member of the U.C.W. Predeceased by sister, Jean Lockhart and brothers, Jim and Mac Stewart. She is survived by sons; Bob (Linda) Davies of Bedford, NS and Jock (Nancy) Davies of Westfield, NB, daughters; Sue Davies (George Iverson) of Silverton, BC and Barb (Wes) Towle of Nakusp, BC, grandchildren; Megan Towle (Sean O’Leary) of Banff, AB, Amanda Towle of Taipei, Taiwan, Rob (Anne) Davies of Arviat, Nunavut, Brent Iverson (Brianna Kennedy) and Jeff (Lisa) Iverson of Banff, great-granddaughter; Kennedy Iverson, sisters-in-law; Dot Stewart and Joan Hartt and brothers-in-law; Bill Lockhart and Bill Warwick and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, there will be a memorial service at Westfield United Church on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. A private interment will take place later at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, remembrances to the charity of choice would be appreciated.
