Obituary of Warren Melvin Gillis
The death of Warren Melvin Gillis, of Rollingdam, NB, partner of Janet Shatford, occurred on August 25, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. Stephen he was the son of Melvin L. (Anne) and the late Charlene (McKinney) Gillis. He was employed as a laborer with various companies in the Saint John area and had worked for Rothesay Paper for a number of years. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and hunting. He is survived by his children Anthony, Andrew and Carla and their mother Paula Gillis, Deborah Ann Shatford, grandchildren Courtney, Dominic, Haley, Mckenzie and Brooklyn, step-children Janet, Mark and Charley Shatford and their children Jennifer and Jasmine (his special girl), his sisters Kimberly Moore (William), Pamela Stackhouse (Steven) and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. His sister Debbie Ann and infant brother Raymond predeceased him. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at 11:00 am, at Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place at the Bocabec Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Saint John Regional Hospital MICU or the NB Lung Association would be appreciated.
