Obituary of Roberta Janet Sewell

The death of Roberta Janet “Bumps” Sewell of the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Nursing Home, Saint John, wife of the late Ernest Macaulay “Mac” Sewell, occurred on Monday, August 28, 2006 at her residence. Born in Saint John on March 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Mary (Martin) Jamieson. Mrs. Sewell was a longtime member of the Church of St. John & St. Stephen. She is survived by one son, Douglas M. “Sandy” Sewell (Grace) of Saint John, two daughters, Kathryn M. Rielly of Carleton Place, ON and Elizabeth Whitcomb (Ian) of Quispamsis, seven grandchildren, Robert, Anne, Alex, Jonathan, Meghan, Jamie and Ian and three nieces. She was predeceased by one brother, John T. Jamieson and one sister, Jessie H. Jamieson. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at the Church of St. John & St. Stephen, Coburg Street, Saint John on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the Church of St. John & St. Stephen would be appreciated.
