Obituary of Phillip M. Monteith
Monteith, Phillip M. … The death of Phillip Murray Monteith of Hampton, NB, husband of Phyllis (Sweeney) Monteith, occurred on August 31, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was a son of the late Joseph and Bessie (Spencer) Monteith. Phillip had served overseas in World War II with the Artillery. He had raised poodles and loved all animals. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons: Malcolm (Wendy) Monteith of Pocologan, NB; Joseph (Yvette) Monteith of Oromocto, NB; Phillip (Pam) Monteith of Hampton, NB; two sisters: Margaret Webb of Fredericton, NB; Jean Carpenter of Alberta; seven grandchildren: Gregory, Peter, Rachael, Robert, Richard, Shaun, Cory, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday and Monday, September 3 & 4, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. A Tribute to a Veterans Service will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm.
