Obituary of M. Helen Thompson

The death of Marjorie Helen Thompson, Saint John, wife of the late Ralph G. Thompson, occurred on September 4, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late J. Fred and Bertha Helen (Northrup) Anthony. Helen was a graduate of Mount Allison University. She was an active community volunteer and was a member of the I.O.D.E., the Saint John Regional Hospital Auxiliary and was an active member of Red Head United Church. She is survived by two sons, Doug Thompson (Donna) of North Vancouver, BC and Eric Thompson (Anna) of Orlando, FL, one daughter, Ann Thompson of Saint John, one granddaughter, Julia and one great granddaughter, Eva, and several nieces and nephews Gail Gardner, Clark McIlveen, Bruce McIlveen, and Lynn Logan. She was predeceased by one son, James and her sister, Jean. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 am. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to Red Head United Church would be appreciated.
