Obituary of Marjorie Evelyn Boone
BOONE, MARJORIE E.- The death of Marjorie Evelyn (Way) Boone of Saint John, wife of 60 years to the late Hubert (Boob) Boone, occurred on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on December 29, 1915 in Lynnfield, NB, she was the daughter of the late Stewart Samuel Way and the late Beulah Emma (Patterson) (Way) Keef. Marjorie graduated from Provincial Normal School in 1934. She was an active member of St. James United Church, Perth Andover and their UCW and was a very religious lady. She is survived by one son Terrence “Terry” G. Boone of the Loch Lomond Villa, one daughter, Sandra (Boone) Greer of Saint John, three grandchildren, Christopher Greer (Kelli), Tamara Ward and Bradley R. K. Boone (Nicky), seven great grandchildren, one sister, Esther Leach of BC, sister-in-law, Zoe Boone, brothers-in-law, Neil Boone (Hazel) and Jimmie Boone (Frances), several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by brother, Frank Willard Way (Gwen), step-father, Arthur Irving Keef and great nephew, Timmy Craig. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 2:15 PM. Interment will take place at Forest City Cemetery at a later date. Flowers or remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be appreciated.
