Obituary of Ella L. Walker
The death of Ella Lovenia (Oldfield) Walker, age 91, of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Robert Walker, occurred on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Waldo and Seneath (Perry) Oldfield. Ella was employed with the Nurses Residence, New System Laundry and Barbour Foods. She is survived by three daughters: Mary (Bill) Bodycott of Quispamsis; Seneath “Dolly” (Doug) Darrah of Bridgewater, NS; Evelyn “Bub” (Wayne) Morrell of Fredericton, NB; three brothers: Burton (Helen) Oldfield, Victor (Doreen) Oldfield both of Crystal Beach; Raymond Oldfield of Saint John; four sisters: Audrey Morton of Saint John; Nina Reinhart of Saint John; Evelyn (Robert Curran) of Saint John West; Lorna (Bruce) Wilson of Lorneville; ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by brothers, Norman and Waldo Oldfield. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday and Sunday, October 14 & 15, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2006 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made Douglas Ave. Christian Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
