Obituary of Elsie Eliza Machum
The loss of dearly beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Elsie Eliza Machum who was predeceased by her loving husband Cecil A. Machum occurred on October 18, 2006 at her residence. Born at Oak Point she was the daughter of the late Captain James R. and Elsie (Harvey) Machum. She was a member of the WA, loved to knit, quilt and cook and was an avid card player. Surviving are sons C. Terry (Norma) of Saint John, Kenneth of Toronto, daughters C. Anne Crawford (William) of Saint John, Elizabeth Fleming of Saint John, Harriet Tracy (Paul) of Vancouver, Ruth Jennings (Robert) of Central Greenwich, sister Anne Balmer, 19 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her sons William Alexander and James Randolph and sisters Christine Johnson and Jean Estey predeceased her. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2006, at 2 :00 pm, from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Oak Point. Interment will take place at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Brown’s Flat. Remembrances made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
