Obituary of Margaret Mary Adams
The death of Margaret Mary Adams of 131 Cosy Lake Road, Saint John, wife of the late Clarence Adams, occurred on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Saint John on February 2, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Francis Xavier and Bridget (Phelan) McCabe. Mrs. Adams was formerly employed at the Saint John General Hospital and H. L. Titus Bakery. She was a member of the Cathedral Parish and volunteered at the Saint John Boys and Girls Club. She is survived by two sons, Donald L. of Saint John and C. Douglas (Marsha) of Drayton Valley, AB, four daughters, Audrey McLean of Saint John, Elizabeth “Betty” Malkiewicz of Montreal, PQ, Karen McDonald (Edward) of Saint John and Linda Garey of Saint John, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, special nieces, Patsy Brooks (Jack) and Donna Buck (Arnold) and several other cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by grandson, Donald McLean, sons-in-law, Victor McLean and John Malkiewicz, brothers, Gerald, Frank and Edward McCabe, sisters, Dorothy Little, Eileen Shaw and Josephine Ferguson. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 12:00 Noon. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated.
