Obituary of Louisa WALTON
WALTON, Louisa – The death of Vera Louisa Walton formerly of Moss Glen, NB, wife of the late Joseph Alphonsus Walton, occurred on Thursday, November 2, 2006, surrounded by her daughters at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Born in Clifton, NB on December 4, 1909, a daughter of the late William and Edna (Flewelling) Sheldrick. Louisa’s family was the centre of her life and she was an avid Bingo enthusiast. Survived by three daughters: Edythe “Bingie” (Robert) Baxter of Nauwigewauk, NB, Anne (Kenneth) Miller of Moss Glen, NB and Eleanor (James) Green of Saint John, NB; a son, Donald (Elizabeth) Walton of Sussex, NB; two sisters-in-law: Mildred Sheldrick and Freda Sheldrick, both of Clifton; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great- grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1988; two brothers, Sam and Denny Sheldrick; two sisters, Mary Chetley and Edith MacFarland. Louisa was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2:15 pm. Interment will be in Chapel Grove Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
