Obituary of THELMA ELIZABETH MELANSON

The death of Thelma Melanson, wife of Harold “Bussie” Melanson of Saint John West, NB, occurred on Monday, December 4, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 20, 1924 in Red Bank, NB, a daughter of the late Stewart & Ethel (Allison) Harris. Thelma was a faithful member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Survived by her husband; two children: Ernie (Kim) and Zelda (Kevin McCarthy), both of Saint John; brother, Gordon Harris of Red Bank; sister, Norma Flett of South Nelson, NB; granddaughters: Kate and Erin Melanson; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters: Vera Whitney, Elaine McCaughan and Nan MacCallum. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from The Church of the Good Shepherd, Manawagonish Road, Saint John on Thursday, December 7, 2007 at 1 pm. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
