Obituary of Ruby Dora Stone
Stone, Ruby Dora (London) … surrounded by her loving family, the death of Ruby Stone, wife of the late Ronald H. B. Stone occurred at her residence, Rocmaura Nursing Home on Friday, December 7, 2006. Ruby was born in Saint John, on August 24, 1916 to the late George and Emily (Thorne) London. Ruby worked at the Sears Credit Bureau and at the Reversing Falls Tourist Bureau as manager. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church and Pythian Sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Braniff (Darrel Melvin) of Saint John and Cathryn Billiard of Colpitts Settlement, one sister Audrey Campbell of Ontario, seven grandchildren Cathy (Mike), Greg (Luanne), Ivan (Candise), Christopher, Tracy (Fernando), Tim, and Shelly (Allison), six great grandchildren, Misty(Bill), Alexander, Angelina, Seth, Kayla and Rylee, one great-great grandchild, Savana, two nephews, Paul and Malcolm and one niece Jane. Besides her husband and parents Ruby was predeceased by son Ronald G. Stone and brother Kenneth H. London. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 10 am. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
