Obituary of Floyd A. Furlong
The death of Floyd Ansel Furlong of Saint John, NB, husband of Gloria (Lockhart) Furlong, occurred on Monday, December 11, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Woodstock, NB, he was a son of the late Donald and Jean (Kerr) Furlong. Floyd was employed as an electrician with Norman W. Francis and O’Brien Electric. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 69 and IBEW Local 502. He also enjoyed playing darts. He is survived by daughters, Deborah (Greg) Stephens of Sussex, NB, Pamela (Brent) Quinn of Niagara Falls, ON, and Sandra Furlong of Saint John; NB, sister, Alta Clark of Quispamsis; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother, Glen Furlong. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2006 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor’s choice.
