Obituary of Alice Margaret Pye

Alice Margaret (Barry) Pye (1908-2006) of Saint John, NB, died peacefully at the Rocmaura Nursing Home on Thursday, December 21st. She was the wife of the late William Patrick Pye. In her 99th year, she was born in Saint John and was a life long resident of the city’s north end. Alice was the daughter of the late James E. and Ann (George) Barry and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. For the past 60 years she was a member of Holy Trinity CWL and Holy Trinity Parish. Survived by one son, Jim (Deirdre) and granddaughter, Kathleen, all of Burlington, ON and several nieces. Predeceased by two sisters, Viola Barry and Marion Lawson and three brothers, Arthur, John and Gerard. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. At the request of the family there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Rocmaura Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Trinity Church, Rockland Road on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 10 am. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
