Obituary of Constance M. ‘Connie’ Reid

The death of Constance M. ‘Connie’ Reid, wife of Edwin ‘Ed’ Reid, occurred on December 29, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Harold and Alice Mildred (Davidson) Brookins. She was employed as the Office Manager at Exhibition Park for many years. She was a member of St. John Baptist & St Clements (Mission) Church and enjoyed reading and travel. Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter Karen and her husband Kirk Kingston of Saint John, brothers Ronald and Jack ‘Jackie’ (Sandra) Brookins, sister Katherine Marr, all of Saint John, brother-in-law Kenny (Linda) Reid of Quispamsis, sister-in-law Muriel (Malcolm) Bates of Freeport, NS, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 pm and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007, at 11:00 am, from St. John Baptist & St. Clements (Mission) Church. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
