Obituary of Gilbert Joseph Savoie
The death of Gil Savoie of Loch Lomond Road, husband to Marlene (Boyd) Savoie, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 30, 2006. He was born in Lagaceville, NB to the late Omer and Exilia Savoie. Gil was a truck driver until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of the Adanac Club. Besides his wife Marlene he is survived by sons: Aaron, Ronald both of Saint John, Brian of Calgary and Gary (Cathy) of Grand Bay-Westfield; daughters: Charlene (Mark) of Lepreau, Connie (Joe Kezar) of Ontario and Brenda (Eric McCutcheon) of Fort McMurray; brothers: Joseph “Wil” and Michael both of Saint John; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by brothers: Louis and Lucien. There will be no visitation. Following cremation a memorial mass will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Church, Loch Lomond, on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 1:00 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424).
