Obituary of Margaret Laglora Claire ‘Higgi’ Losier
Higgi’ The death of Margaret Laglora Claire ‘Higgi’ Losier, wife of the late Joseph Alfred Losier, occurred on January 3, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of John and Grace (Kilfoil) Higgins. Throughout he life she was employed by Dalmy’s, Central Trust, Sears and was a Federal Returning Officer for Saint John. She was a lifetime member of St. Peter’s Church and belonged to the CWL, receiving her 40 Year Membership Pin. She was an alumnae of St. Vincents High School. She was a member of the North End Seniors Club and the Admiral Beatty Seniors Club and was a member of the Liberal Ladies Associations locally, provincially and federally. She was a past member of Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club. Surviving are her children, John of Saint John, Mary Carol Losier-Roderick and her husband Barry of Saint John, Barbara Losier- Bhatnagar and her husband Rakesh of Edmonton, Alta., sister Catherine Hersey of Saint John, sister-in-law Eileen Higgins of Saint John, grandchildren Carol, Ellen, John, Marie Claire and Christopher Roderick, Tammie, Margo and Marie Losier, step-grandchildren Kiran, Susheila and Rita Bhatnagar, great-grandchildren Aralynn, Teyler and Tessa, and several nieces and nephews. Her brother Glendon Higgins and sisters, Lorraine Lucas, Geraldine Elderkin and Barbara Beldham predeceased her. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home , 111 Paradise Row (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00 am, from St. Peter’s Church. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemtery. Remebrances made to the Romero House Soup Kitchen, Canadian Cancer Society, NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
