Gertrude Mavis Seaman was called home on January 4, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born at Kinsmans Corner, NS, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Albert and Lois E. (Eagles) Clarke and was the devoted wife of Dr. Killem (Kal) Seaman. A blessed mother to her sons Gavin (Colleen) of Hampton, Greg (Charlene) of Grand Bay-Westfield, and loving sister to brother Harry (Mildred) of Kinsmans Corner, NS, a ‘Nanny’ to Stephen, Jonathan, Shelley, Kayleen, Keiran and Martha Jane, and several nieces and nephews. Respected by the neighborhood kids as a lady and ‘Mom’, always managing to finding the good in everything. Even in awkward moments, she was always positive. Trudi was a practicing Christian and member of the Browns Flat Baptist Church. Trudi belonged to the I.O.D.E., Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club and Riverside Golf and Country Club. She loved nature and was an avid sports enthusiast. Enjoyment of music was a large part of Trudi’s life. She enjoyed her family and friends at ‘River Oaks,’ her family home in Browns Flat. Trudi was always humble, kind, loving and caring of others. A lesson for us all. Thank you Lord for Trudi’s life. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424). The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2007, at 2:00 pm, from the Browns Flat Baptist Church. Interment will take place at the Browns Flat Baptist Cemetery.
