Obituary of Rita Lillian Perry
After suffering a stroke on January 23, 2006, the death of Rita Lillian Perry of Saint John, NB, formerly of Anthony’s Cove Road, occurred on Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Kildare, PEI a daughter of the late Joseph and Ellen (Albert) Gallant. Rita had been employed at the Saint John TB Hospital until her retirement, she enjoyed playing Bingo and cards and walking in the cove. Survived by three sons: Gilbert (Sherrill), Raymond (Mary Lou), both of Red Head, Russell (Lorraine) of the Kingston Peninsula; one daughter, Nancy (Ron) Gillean of Calgary, AB; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Harry Jones; a son, Harold; brothers: Jack, George, Pete and Bill; sisters: Julia, Margaret, Elizabeth, Bertha and Mamie. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. At Rita’s request there will be no visiting. The family will conduct a Memorial Service at a later date. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor’s choice.
