Obituary of Josephine H. Vaughan
VAUGHAN, JOSEPHINE H.- The death of Josephine Helena Vaughan of Seely Lodge, Grand Bay-Westfield, formerly of Montgomery Crescent, Saint John, wife of the late Ernest J. Vaughan, occurred on Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in South Nelson, NB on April 7, 1917, she was the daughter of the late James and Lena (Richardson) McKinney. Mrs. Vaughan was employed at Brooke Bond for several years and was a member of St. Pius X Church and their CWL. She is survived by one son, John “Ernie” Vaughan (Beth) of Saint John, one daughter, Joan O’Leary (John “Bud”) of Saint John, four grandchildren, Jacqueline Ainsworth, Brent Ainsworth (Marie), Katherine Vaughan and Emily Vaughan, three step-grandchildren, Randall O’Leary (Leanne), Patricia Boudreau (Mario) and Jodi O’Leary, four great grandchildren, Heidi, Christian, William and Josie, four step-great grandchildren, Mary Ann, Kyle, Alicia and Kern, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to St. Pius X Church Building Fund, St. Malachy’s Memorial High School Scholarship Fund or SJVS/HVHS Scholarship Fund.
