Obituary of Marie Jenny Lucy Noble
The death of Marie Jenny Lucy Noble of Saint John, widow of W. Alexander Noble, occurred at St. Joseph’s Hospital on March 31 at the age of 93 years following a brief illness. Born on July 1, 1913 in Queensland, N.S., she was the daughter of the late William R. and Jenny (Parker) Kennedy. Survived by sons Alexander “Sandy” (Carol-Ann) of Saint John and Donald (Judy) of Ottawa and daughter Jean Schmidt of London, Ontario. Also seven grandchildren: Tracey (Noble) Taylor of Edmonton and Dana Andrew Noble of Ashton, ON, Cheryl (Noble) Ruhs and Daniel Noble of Ottawa, and Daniel, Jennifer and Julia Schmidt of London, Ont.; plus four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Michael, Patrick, Jack and William, all of Queensland, N.S. Marie worked for many years at the Provincial Laboratory in Saint John and as a dental assistant at New Albert School. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. By request of the deceased there will be no visitations or funeral service. A private family interment will be held at Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
