Obituary of Joseph Jean Gionet
GIONET, J. JEAN (1946 – 2007) – The death of Jean Gionet of Saint John, husband of Theresa Chaisson, occurred on Friday, March 23, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Allardville, NB he was a son of the late, Albanie and Argentine (Noel) Gionet. He is survived by his daughter, Micheline Gionet of Montreal, PQ; two sons, Michel Gionet of Bathurst, NB and Marco Gionet of St. Andree, NB; his step-children, Albert Chaisson and Sherry Chaisson both of Saint John, Tina Chappel of Willow Grove, NB, John Deas and Robert Deas of Saint John. Five Sisters, Bebianne (Seraphin Ferron) of Saint Catherine, ON, Edwina (Leo Paul Richard of St. Sauveur, NB, Ginette (Wallace Mazerolle) of Allardville, Line (Jean Guy Comeau) of Nigadoo, NB, Linda (Don McInnes) of Stony Creek, ON; five brothers, Rolland (Esthel), Victor (Evangeline) of Beresford, NB, Bernard (Fernande) of Quebec, Mario (Mariette) of Nigadoo, nineteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jean is predeceased by one brother Robert. Arrangements under the direction of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ-Roi Church in Allardville, NB, on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 10:30 am. Interment to take place in Christ-Roi Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Christ-Roi Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
