Obituary of Zenaida Espaldon Cabilete

The death of Dr. Zenaida Mercader Espaldon Cabilete MD, wife of Arturo G. Cabilete, of Saint John West, NB, occurred on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Zulu, The Philippines on March 31, 1943 a daughter of the late Cipriano and Claudia (Cadag-Mercader) Espaldon. Survived by her husband, Arturo; four sons: Jethelo Espaldon Cabilete and Jhoel Espaldon Cabilete, both of Vancouver, BC, Jericho Espaldon Cabilete of Toronto, ON and Jed Espaldon Cabilete of Saint John; two daughters: Joy-Kristine Espaldon Cabilete of Vancouver, BC and Jocelyn Cabilete-Mattheus (Frank) of Munich, Germany; one brother, Dr. Felipe M. Espaldon of Chicago, IL; four sisters: Fe Lim, Eleanor Bulawin and Soledad Reyes, all three of the Philippines and Lilia Tischauser of Toronto, ON; one grandchild, Tristan Cabilete Arthurs. Predeceased by three brothers: Admiral Romulo M. Espaldon, Dr. Ernesto M. Espaldon and Congressman Manuel M. Espaldon. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Church on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 11 am, followed by cremation. Remembrances may be made the United Way of Greater Saint John, The Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
